Horrabridge
Rangers Sports Association is to hold the End of Season Presentation Night on
17th May 2003 starting at 7.30pm @ £2.00 per person; it will be held
in Horrabridge Community Hall which is in Horrabridge School. Parents are asked
to liaise with their managers, as we ask the parents to make sandwiches etc. to
keep the costs down. Soft drinks will be supplied but if you require stronger
drinks you will have to bring your own.
Horrabridge
Rangers Sports Association AGM will be held on June 19th in The Village Hall
which is opposite The London Inn starting at 7.30pm all members of the Club are
cordially invited.
The
Club is on a massive growth spiral and parental input is required at all
levels.
The junior teams have had very good season, with all
teams playing exceptionally well at their respective age groups. The Executive
Committee have watched many of the games played at home and away. The attitude
of all players’ and management staff has been exceptional from September right
the way through to April.
We
feel that it will be great thing for all as a Charter Standard Applicant to
portray a smart, unified image and do everything possible to look after the
players that we have as well as attract new players.
The
Club is at present actively seeking sponsorship and at the time of writing was
in negotiations with a number of companies. We need a large amount of new
equipment for the 03/04 season from football kits to goal nets. Work to attract
sponsorship is driven by Ian Mulholland. Any club member who knows of a company
or individual who would like to support the Club and who needs a sponsor pack
contact Ian through your manager.
During
the summer Horrabridge will be holding our annual Football Tournament the dates
for these are; Boys Under 9’s Saturday 28th June, Under10’s Sunday
29th June, Under 11’s Saturday 5th July, Girls Under10’s,
Under12’s & Under14’s Sunday 6th July, Boys Under12’s Saturday
12th July, Under14’s Sunday 13th July.
If
you have any problems with this speak to your manager/coach.
Parents
are a big factor in this club and we need your participation as well as your child’s.
We
are a young and growing youth organisation which needs a lot of helpers, in
many forms, especially as helpers on match days; to collect subs, wash kit, collect
and move children to & from games or even fill in the team sheet to give
the manager more time with the team.
The
Club are in the process of creating a new web site which will include up to
date results for every team, coming fixtures and news from the club along with
all the club policies, codes of conduct, development plans and articles on club
history. We would also welcome your comments and ideas on web site content. It
is hoped to turn this web site into the most up to date and authoritative information
source there is on the club.
The
newsletters will keep you up to date on the clubs electronic developments.

The Charter Standard is a really important word in the Youth
Football world. It says to people that you are a well organised, well run &
well thought of in the area. To come in line for this we will have to draw up
new codes of conduct for coaches, players, team officials, parents &
spectators as well as a new Child Protection Policy. The Child Protection
Policy requires us to submit our managers/coaches /helper’s details, to the FA
as they check with the police and give acknowledgement to the club that all
peoples are clear of relevant convictions.
We are all working towards the same goal look at our motto
