Horrabridge
Rangers Sports Association has relaunched its web site to bring us back into
the 21st Century.

At
the web site you will be able to check on your fixtures, league position, and
any other Stats you could think of, click on the Juniors/Seniors links at the
top of the page and then the league that you are interested in. Codes of Conduct
and various coaching exercises are also at the top of the Home Page. You never
know you may increase your basic football knowledge and skill.
At the AGM which was held in June it was
agreed by the Committee to have the following teams playing football in the
Devon Junior and Minor League at Mini Soccer Under 9 x 2 teams, U10’s, U11’s,
U12’s, U13’s and U15’s boys teams. Also 1 x U11’s girl’s Mini Soccer team will
represent the club for the first time. The Club will also have 2 x Adult teams,
one will play on Saturdays and one will play on Sundays.
The 2003/2004 season is fast
approaching it is due to begin for most teams on Saturday 6th September; training has started in earnest,
friendlies will be following if your team has enough players, due to holidays
etc.
The Club is on a massive growth spiral and parental
input is required at all levels don’t be shy in coming forward. Parents are a
big factor in this club and we need your participation as well as your child’s.
Especially as helpers on match days; to collect subs, wash kit, collect and
move children to & from games or even fill in the team sheet to give the
manager more time with the team.
Winter training will start on Tuesday 30th September at Bickleigh Barracks. All teams will train at the same time as they do now, unless told specifically by your team manager who will have liaised with Bill Coleman
Parents are a big factor in this club and we need your participation as
well as your child’s.
The
Club is at present actively seeking sponsorship. We need a large amount of new
equipment for the 03/04 season from football kits to goal nets. Any club members
who know of a company or individual who may be willing to support the Club and
who needs a sponsor pack contact Ian through your manager.
On Sunday 28th September 03 the Club will be holding the 1st of this seasons fundraising events, it will be in the form of a marathon distance run 26.2 miles at least per team. The individual teams will run a set course in Fillace Park starting from 10am. As we are a physical activity organisation a certain amount of physical exertion should really be expected. No one should run more than 3 miles. This obviously includes managers and coaches. The money raised will be split between junior team funds and the project to build a new Clubhouse/Pavilion.
As a Club we pride ourselves on keeping your costs down. This year the cost of registration is £10.00 per player (at least £5 less than our nearest rivals). The subs are £2.00 per game and we don’t ask for training night fees
This is the reason we expect a
large turnout for fundraising events
We are all working towards the same goal look at our motto
